This policy explains how we research, watch, rate and publish reviews at MP4Movie. We share it openly so you always know what a rating means and how we work.
Editorial independence
Our reviews are independent. No studio, distributor or streaming platform controls what we write or the scores we give. Advertising and reviews are kept separate, and advertisers have no say over our opinions.
How we choose what to review
We cover new releases, popular titles and hidden gems across Bollywood, Hollywood, South Indian cinema and OTT. We also take requests from readers. We aim to be useful, not just to chase what is trending.
How we watch
We watch the full film or series before we write. We never judge a title from its trailer or from a few clips. This takes longer, but it is the only fair way to review.
Our rating scale
We rate every title on the same scale, from one to five stars.
- 5 stars Excellent. A must watch.
- 4 stars Very good. Well worth your time.
- 3 stars Decent. Watch if the genre or cast appeals to you.
- 2 stars Weak. Real problems hold it back.
- 1 star Poor. You can skip this one.
Spoilers
Our reviews are spoiler-free by default. If a review needs to discuss a key moment, we mark it clearly so you can choose whether to read on.
Accuracy and corrections
We check our facts, but mistakes can happen. If you spot an error, email us at hello@mp4movie.co.in. When we correct something important, we update the review and note that it was changed.
Sources and images
We use official and trusted sources for details such as cast, crew and release information. Posters and images belong to their owners and are used for review and commentary.
Advertising, sponsorship and affiliate links
We may run ads and use affiliate links to support the site. Any sponsored content is clearly labelled. Commissions and ads never change a score or a recommendation.
Conflicts of interest
If a writer has any personal connection to a title or the people behind it, we disclose it in the review or assign the review to someone else.
Written by people
Our reviews are written and edited by our team and reflect our real opinions. We may use tools to help with research or editing, but the views and the final words are ours.
